Twitter threatens lawsuit against Meta over Threads

by TM

It appears that Meta, the parent company of Facebook, is facing potential legal action from Twitter. Twitter has sent a letter to Meta accusing them of hiring former Twitter employees to obtain trade secrets and create a “copycat” social media app called Threads. The letter demands that Meta ceases using Twitter’s alleged trade secrets and threatens legal action. Elon Musk, owner of Twitter, has responded to the situation, stating that competition is fine but cheating is not. However, Meta has denied the allegations. Threads has already gathered over 30 million users within 24 hours, becoming a major competitor to Twitter.
