Today, React Native version 0.65 has been released, featuring updates to Hermes, improvements to accessibility, package upgrades, and more. Hermes, the open source JavaScript VM optimized for React Native, has been upgraded to version 0.8.1. Some of the notable features in this release include the ability to specify high contrast light and dark values for iOS, the addition of the getRecommendedTimeoutMillis API on Android, and general fixes to ensure proper announcement of UI states for TalkBack/VoiceOver.
